Specialist schools pilot year two

The opening of the 2nd round of applications for inclusion in the Northern Ireland Specialist Schools Pilot was announced on 30 November 2006.

All schools, currently with pupils in each year group in Key Stages 3 and 4, are invited to apply for inclusion in the Specialist Schools Pilot except those schools currently -

• In the School Support Programme; or
• Already designated as specialist schools.

Schools who are successful in this round of applications will be designated as specialist schools from September 2007.
