June 2008

Education Minister, Caitríona Ruane, announced that a further nine schools will be designated as Specialist Schools from September 2008 bringing the total number of Specialist Schools to 34.

May 2008

Education Minister, Caitríona Ruane, addressed post-primary and specialist schools principals from the Belfast Education and Library Board on 14 May 2008.

March 2008

On 4 March 2008, Caitríona Ruane made a statement to the Assembly about area-based planning within the post-primary sector.
