Statistical publications

The Branch publishes statistics on numbers of schools and pupils, drawn from the school census, annually.  Details about pupil:teacher ratios,  participation rates, school leavers' destinations and qualifications are also published via press release on an annual basis. These may be accessed via the statistical press release section of this website.  Additional breakdowns of the data found in these press releases may be accessed under the Statistics on Education part of the website.

Transfer procedure test results have been published on a couple of occasions.

A Compendium of Northern Ireland Education Statistics is also produced.  This document summarises a number of key education statistics over a number of recent years.
