Equality Team

The role of the Equality Team is:

• To provide guidance and advice to branches within DE on equality issues around the 9 categories specified in Section 75 of the Northern Ireland Act 1998; specifically in relation to Screening and Equality Impact Assessments.

• To co-ordinate responses from DE on equality issues which involve input from more than one branch or the Department as a whole.

• To provide a first point of contact in DE for groups involved in Section 75 equality issues.
