Department of Education Disability Action Plan

Under Section 49B of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 the Department of Education is required to submit a Disability Action Plan to the Equality Commission showing how it proposes to fulfil its statutory Duties to:

• Promote Positive Attitudes towards people with disabilities; and
• Encourage participation by people with disabilities in public life (the disability duties)

Consultation

The Department is consulting on its revised Disability Action Plan 2010-2013 between 14 September 2010 and 31 January 2011. If you have any comments, please let us know.
