Review of Literacy and Numeracy - Finding out what young people think
We want to make sure that all children get a high quality education in order to reach their full potential, and the following booklet and set of questions have been designed to get the views of children and young people on this very important area.

We feel that one of the most important things you do in school is to learn to read and write and do sums (maths). We know that you all do your best at school and some girls and boys do very well indeed. But there are some girls and boys who find reading and writing or Maths, or maybe both, hard, and if they get too far behind, it won’t be as easy for them to do well when they leave school. We don’t want this to happen any more so are working on a plan (a ‘strategy’) to help everyone do well in reading and writing and in maths. We have some ideas and you can read about them in the booklet below. We really want to find out what you think of our ideas, and we also want to find out what ideas you have about things that you think could help you and your friends. We would really like it if you would answer some questions to tell us what you think. You can do this by clicking below to start.
