In December 2006 the Minister also approved a development proposal for the establishment of Rowandale Integrated Primary School in the Moira area from September 2007 and the transformation of Tyrella Primary School to Controlled integrated status.

In September 2007 both Ballycastle Primary School and Crumlin High School will officially transform to Controlled integrated status.
