Paralympics Awareness Event - Oakgrove College

The Minister for Education attended an event at Oakgrove College in September 2008 which was hosted by the Department of Education/ Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure and Disability Sport.

The children at the event learned about the Olympic and Paralympic games and had an opportunity to take part in 3 Paralympic activities (Bastketball, Goalball and Boccia) during which had the opportunity to experience what it is like for young people with a disability to take part in sport.
