Schools Budgets 2006/07, including additional funding under the Children and Young People Fund

Following the Ministerial announcement -£10m goes direct to schools-on 5 June 2006 outlining information about the additional funding being made directly available to all schools under the Children and Young People Fund, the following provides details of the individual allocations to every school and the revised total delegated budgets for every school in the 2006/07 financial year.

Further to an announcement on 17 February 2006 about individual school budgets for all grant-aided schools in Northern Ireland covered by the Common Funding Scheme, (based on the distribution of a total Aggregated Schools Budget of £995m), the Secretary of State has made an additional £10m available for allocation directly to all schools in 2006/07 as part of the Children and Young People Funding package.

Of the £10m, £200,000 is being made available to all Special Schools in Northern Ireland, and they will be notified separately of their share of these funds.

The remaining £9.8m is being distributed, through the Common Funding Formula to all schools with fully delegated budgets under the Local Management of Schools arrangements, with a minimum funding level guaranteed for schools in each phase as follows: nursery £1,000, primary £2,000 and post-primary £5,000.
