Autumn 2004 Common Funding Consultation

In September 2004 the Department undertook a consultation exercise with all schools, and partner bodies on the "Proposed Common Funding Scheme for the Local Management of Schools".

The consultation documentation was distributed to all grant-aided schools by the Education and Library Boards for controlled and maintained schools, and by the Department for voluntary grammar and grant-maintained integrated schools.

Consultation packs included copies of the Proposed Common Funding Scheme, a Response Form and a copy of the Equality Impact Assessment undertaken following the earlier consultation on proposals for a Common Funding Formula in April 2001.

Funding Authorities were also provided with 'Indicative Budget Statements' for issue to their respective schools.

The areas covered in this section are as follows

• Indicative Budgets These indicative school budgets illustrate what schools would have received under the consultation proposals for a Common Formula in the 2004/05 financial year.
