Audit and accountability

The Accounting Officer (Permanent Secretary) of the Department of Education is responsible to the Minister and to Parliament for the propriety and regularity of use of all resources voted by Parliament for educational and related purposes in Northern Ireland and for ensuring that value for money is obtained from these resources.
