Towards a Culture of Tolerance: Integrated Education
The TACOT:IE working group was established in June 1998 to examine ways in which all schools could contribute further to the promotion of a culture of tolerance as outlined in the Belfast Agreement.
The final report takes into account recent developments in the education sector including the post-primary review, amendments to the curriculum, the advent of "A Shared Future", and the possible impact of the Review of Public Administration.
The Strategic Review of Education received a draft copy of this report and took on board the recommendations. The TACOT:IE report has now been accepted by the Minister and who has agreed to it's publication on the Department's website.
The first report, issued for consultation, was published in November 1998 and the outcomes can be viewed below.
