Equality Impact Assessments

Under Section 75 of the Northern Ireland Act 1998, the Department is required to have due regard to the need to promote equality of opportunity.

The Department consulted on the EQIA on the proposal to introduce a flat rate of pay for prematurely retired teachers who return to teaching and proposed changes to the Common Funding Scheme for the local management of schools.

The consultation commenced on 9 March 2011 and finished on 11 May 2011.
