Procurement

All public procurement should be subject to competition to ensure best value for money.  The Department and its Non-Departmental Public Bodies including schools are subject to all public procurement policies and guidance provided by Central Procurement Directorate (CPD), Department of Finance and Personnel.

The Procurement Policy Guidance Notes, developed by CPD in consultation with the Centres of Procurement Expertise (CoPEs) are the administrative means by which the NI Public sector is advised of procurement policy and best practice developments.
