CFS Indicative Budgets for 2004/05

As part of the consultation process, schools were provided with ‘indicative’ budget statements to assist in their assessment of the proposals for a Common Funding Scheme (CFS). These illustrated what schools would have received, under the proposals being consulted on at that time for Common Funding, compared to the actual funding they received in the 2004/05 financial year under their existing funding arrangements.

A full list of the funding outcomes for schools under the consultation proposals, along with the main characteristics of each school – size, pupil number etc. – are shown below for information.

The indicative outcomes provided an illustration, at that time, of the relative funding impacts - not what schools would receive in the following year.  Using the same data (pupil numbers, school size etc.) this shows the relative funding change and the impact of moving schools from their historic funding positions, to the consistent application of Common Funding for every school, using the proposals, at that time, within the Consultation.  Transitional arrangements, designed to support schools in managing these relative changes to their budgets, are not included in the 'indicative' budget outcomes
