Results of Equality Impact Assessment: ‘To Withdraw Funding from the Preparatory Departments of Grammar Schools’

The documents below present the findings of an Equality Impact Assessment (EQIA) on the proposal to withdraw funding from the preparatory departments of grammar schools.

The EQIA on the proposal to withdraw funding from preparatory departments of grammar schools went out for consultation on 7 January 2010 and the deadline for responses was 4 March 2010.

The purpose of the EQIA was to determine whether there was likely to be any adverse impact arising from the policy between persons of different religious belief, political opinion, racial group, age, marital status or sexual orientation; men and women generally; persons with a disability and persons without; and persons with dependants and persons without.

The EQIA concludes there would be no direct adverse impact on persons of different religious belief, political opinion, racial group, age, marital status or sexual orientation; men and women generally; persons with a disability and persons without; and persons with dependants and persons without.
