March 2011 CFS Consultation

The Department of Education (DE) undertook a consultation exercise with schools on possible changes to the Common Funding Scheme (CFS). The consultation period ran from 9 March 2011 until 11 May 2011.

Separate consultations were also undertaken on the draft Equality Impact Assessment (EQIA) on the proposal to vary Teacher Substitution compensation arrangements and discontinuing support funding for the Transfer Procedure.

The proposed changes were subject to deliberations with the Local Management of Schools (LMS) Steering Group, which includes representatives from the Education and Library Boards, the Council for Catholic Maintained Schools (CCMS), the Governing Bodies Association (GBA), NI Council for Integrated Education (NICIE) and Comhairle na Gaelscolaíochta (CnaG).
