Safer Internet Day – 5 February 2013
Safer Internet Day 2013 will take place on Tuesday 5 February 2013 and will be the tenth edition of the event. Safer Internet Day is celebrated around the world as an opportunity to promote the safe and responsible use of online technology.
The theme for Safer Internet Day 2013 is “Online Rights and Responsibilities” with the slogan “Connect with Respect”.

Click Clever Click Safe: The first UK Child Internet Safety Strategy
The UK Council for Child Internet Safety (UKCCIS) has launched its ‘Click Clever Click Safe: The First UK Child Internet Safety’. The strategy focuses on next year with the launch of the Digital Code, which will be the basis of a public awareness campaign. The strategy document and information on the progress that UKCCIS has made towards helping children and young people stay safe on the internet can be accessed on the Department for Children, Schools and Families website.
