Youth Work Delivery
A Youth Work Strategy PDF 216 KB,covering the period 2005-2008, was devised and approved by the Department and the Youth Service Liaison Forum.
The Strategy commissioned by the Department was the first Northern Ireland wide youth work strategy. The Department along with the sector recognised the need to create a clear and co-ordinated strategy and to increase the effectiveness of youth service delivery The strategy set out a 3 year action plan towards the improvement of youth service provsion in Northern Ireland.
Youth Work A Model for Effective Practice PDF 287 KB
This curriculum framework suggests three core principles for youth work. It is designed to be adapted to meet the needs of children and young people. It promotes young peoples involvement in programme planning and delivery to ensure that what is being offered is relevant.
