Consultation on proposed changes to the Common Funding Scheme
Following the independent review of the Common Funding Scheme, which determines how funds are allocated to schools, the Minister for Education, John O’Dowd, set out his proposals for changes to the Scheme.
The consultation on the proposed changes ran from 26 June 2013 to 25 October 2013.
The Minister announced his final decisions on the review of the Common Funding Scheme on 13 March 2014. A summary of the decisions and information on school budgets for 2014-15 can be accessed via the links below.

The Department carried out a full Equality Impact Assessment (EQIA) on the proposed changes to the Common Funding Scheme. The consultation on the draft EQIA ended on Friday 29 November 2013 and the final version of the EQIA will be published shortly.

Public Consultation on Common Funding Scheme: Have your say on how schools are funded
In addition to the arrangements which were in place to facilitate consultation with schools as part of the consultation process, the Minister was keen to hear the views of wider interested parties, including those in the community, voluntary and business sectors.
To facilitate this, the Department held 2 public information events on the proposed changes:
