O’Dowd approves proposal to increase capacity at St Patrick’s Primary School, Mayobridge

Education Minister, John O'Dowd has approved a development proposal to increase capacity at St Patrick's Primary School.

Commenting on the decision, Mr O’Dowd said: “St Patrick’s Primary School is a popular school and enrolment has grown steadily in recent years. In approving this proposal St Patrick’s will have the opportunity to grow gradually to a maximum enrolment of 342 pupils.

“The proposal forms part of the Southern Education and Library Board’s long-term plans for provision in the area and is consistent with the area planning work currently being undertaken. In this context I am content to approve this development proposal.”
